These days more than ever it seems like good help is hard to find. For any kind of specialized contracting work, it can take weeks or even months to find a plumber or electrician that’s even willing to stick to appointment times, let alone figure out what your problem is and fix it.
Our most recent example came suddenly a few months ago. We had recently brought home a new puppy, who proceeded to do what puppies do and totally mangle our sprinkler system.
We didn’t realize at the time how badly he had damaged the system. That quickly changed after a few nights of our regularly scheduled watering, during which a geyser of recycled wastewater turned our yard into a mudbath.
The lawn was totally ruined. What was left of the grass after the flash flood quickly started to yellow thanks to days of the early summer sun without a regular refreshing bath. We tried to get a plumber or landscaper out for weeks on end, but they either weren’t interested in helping us or didn’t show up to give an appraisal.
By the time we were able to get a reliable landscaper out, it was too late. The lawn had been reduced to a patchy mass of dirt, and it would take a whole lot of time and money to get it back to where it had been. By then we were fed up with grass and regularly relying on outside help, so we began looking for alternatives.
We quickly settled on synthetic grass as the most economical option and set to work looking for artificial turf installers around Orange County. After seeing quite a few botched installation jobs around our neighborhood, we were determined to find a quality installer for our yard. One testimonial we read really stood out, as it mirrored our situation quite well:
Sierra and the team at No Mow Turf were absolutely fantastic. They were so quick to come out and get a proposal. They understood from our initial phone call what we wanted and put the proposal together without even meeting us (due to our work schedules). They patiently waited while we price shopped and then got us on the schedule quickly when we were ready to proceed.
Our project took a lot of work–it included pulling up landscaping, demoing concrete stepping pads, leveling out a 700-square-foot area that was in terrible shape, and prepping it for the turf. The crew moved quickly and methodically, but didn’t cut any corners. Although they hoped to finish in one day, they knew they wouldn’t get it done perfectly so they took two days. We were blown away by the quality of the job, including turf installed with precision even behind our two AC units. When the job was done, they cleaned up impeccably and you’d never know there had been a 5-foot high pile of road base in our front yard the day before.
I can’t recommend No Mow Turf highly enough. Everything about this project was top quality, and the price was unbeatable. – Karen de Zwart, Google Review
We called up NoMow Turf that same day, and so far everything Karen attested to in her review completely checks out. If you’re looking to replace your flailing natural lawn and are tired of lackluster companies either ghosting you or providing lackluster service, NoMow Turf is a major cut above everything else out there.
